O candidato ideal:
- 8+ years experience as a QA engineer working in LINUX/Windows environments
- Senior-level expertise in test automation (load, regression, …)
- Must have experience with Java and Web technologies
- Experience writing in depth test plans and test cases leading to successful product releases
- Strong UNIX/Windows and shell programming skills (Java, Bash, Perl, Batch scripting, SOAP, etc.)
- Experience with database management would be a plus (preferably PostgreSQL)
- Experience providing and maintaining complex, automated post-build regression tests
- In-depth understanding of the principles of Software Quality Assurance
- Understanding of software development life cycle
- Extensive knowledge in various techniques to enhance code coverage testing
- Experience managing testing in agile development organizations
- Excellent communication skills - able to interface with multiple groups across the company
Job Description and responsibilities:
- Create/Maintain test plans and test cases for Black Duck Software products
- Execute formal test plans
- Define and implement API based regression and performance tests (Java/Soap)
- Extend existing UI-based test automation suite (Selenium)
- Ensure and extend post-build regression testing (Perl, Ant, Cron, Java, XML)
- Work closely with engineering in early product phases to facilitate Black Duck’s agile development methodology
- Track features and bugs (Bugzilla)
- Enhance code coverage testing (Emma)
- Publish test related metrics and reports for company wide browser based on- line access
- Facilitate product testing in heterogeneous environments, e.g. WAN simulation testing
- Provide mentorship to QA staff members
- Evaluate tools and technologies to improve the overall QA process
